The Advisory Committee

PHILIPPE PRONOST

In his role as an investment manager in private equity, Philippe actively oversaw the management of a portfolio worth €45 billion for Alstom in 2003-2004. In the private sector Philippe has held the role of partner at a Pan-European Fund Manager L80 Argos Wityu. He has been a director of companies for more than twenty years, both in France and internationally, notably being on the board of directors of La Francaise des Jeux. ​

Previously holding the role of Deputy Managing Director at CDC International Capital, an investment company dedicated to coordinating investment partnerships with sovereign wealth funds and large international investors, he oversaw the creation of more than €3 billion of new vehicles and partnership investment funds in both private equity and real estate. He has forged very close relationships with many sovereign Funds and international and French investors. Philippe heads committee responsible for onboarding Limited Partners.​

MARGRITH LUTSCHG EMMENEGGER   

Margrith’s speciality area is in Trade Finance with a special focus on Forfaiting and Factoring. Her professional life includes working first with Barclays Bank, and then with Midland Bank Aval in London before joining West Merchant Bank (now WestLB AG) where she held responsibility for the Global forfaiting and factoring within WestLB AG. Margrith joined FIM Bank on the 1st  April 2003 as Executive Vice President, responsible for Business Development and was appointed to President on the 1st September 2004. She retired as President on the 31st  December 2014, after more than a decade as President to become an Advisor to the FIMBank Group and other industry members. ​

She is currently Advisor to Board of Directors at TradeAssets, Co-founder & CEO of Octet Europe Ltd. and COO of Trade Finance Market. Margrith heads the committee responsible for placement of invested capital.​

 

DEO SCERRI 

Deo was appointed Chairman of the Bank of Valletta in December 2016, holding the position until 2020, having held a directorship on the Board of BOV since 2013. ​

He was one of the founding partners of RSM Malta, and held the role of Managing Partner until his retirement from the firm in 2015. Prior to RSM Deo was the deputy managing partner of one of the big four firms and has extensive experience in providing audit and advisory services to companies operating in diverse industry sectors including manufacturing, hospitality, public sector, retail and others. Over the years he was entrusted with managing various advisory assignments including business valuations for privatisation purposes, merger and acquisition deals, corporate recovery and re-structuring. ​

He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants (FIA). Deo was also the Chairman of the UEFA Club Licensing Board of the Malta Football Association and a member of the Malta Football Association’s Finance Committee.​
